What CNC machining services does Olympus Machining offer?

Can you machine Inconel for downhole applications?

Yes. We machine Inconel 718 and Inconel 625 on our CNC mills and lathes. Inconel is a high-temperature nickel alloy with excellent corrosion and pressure resistance, common in downhole and high-service-pressure applications. Tool wear and cycle times are higher than conventional materials, which is reflected in quotes.

Do you hold API thread tolerances?

We can hold thread tolerances to drawing specification including API-style threaded connections. Thread inspection is performed with calibrated thread plug and ring gages and documented on FAIRs when required.

Can you reverse-engineer obsolete oilfield parts?

Yes, when the customer provides a sample part and the part is not subject to third-party IP restrictions. Reverse engineering uses CMM data capture on the Haas HMM 430 and physical inspection to produce a working drawing, which is then quoted for production.

What is your typical lead time for downhole tooling?

Single-piece prototype lead times for Inconel and 4140 components are typically 7–14 business days depending on geometry. Production lots scale based on quantity and material availability. Lead time is confirmed at quote.

Do you provide material traceability?

Yes. Material certifications with heat and lot numbers traceable to the mill are provided as standard. Certificates of Conformance and inspection records are available on request.
