Are you ITAR registered for firearms work?

Yes. Olympus Machining LLC is registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) under ITAR, which covers USML Category I (firearms) components. We can receive and process ITAR-controlled drawings with appropriate internal controls and CMMC Level 1 cybersecurity practices.

Do you require an FFL to receive parts?

Olympus Machining is not a Federal Firearms Licensee. We machine components from raw material under contract with manufacturers who hold the appropriate licenses. Receiver work that triggers FFL requirements is coordinated with the customer's licensed manufacturer or transfer agent.

Can you machine Inconel 718 suppressor baffles?

Yes, with capacity constraints. Inconel 718 is a high-temperature nickel alloy commonly used in suppressor baffles for its erosion resistance. We can machine Inconel components on our 5-axis mill but production volume per week is limited; large suppressor programs should discuss scheduling at the quoting stage.

What thread tolerances can you hold on suppressor end caps?

We can hold thread classes per industry standards including 1/2-28, 5/8-24, M13.5x1 LH, M14.5x1 LH, M18x1, and custom pitches. Thread inspection is performed with calibrated thread plug and ring gages.

Can you support short-run production for firearms accessories?

Yes. Short-run production of 50–500 units is well within our shop's normal output. We can hold production fixtures and CNC programs to enable consistent re-orders.
